What does my Pro subscription unlock?+
Every AI tool on /tools/* — Cover Letter, Interview Prep, Salary Negotiation, SOP, JD Generator, POSH, Handbook, Exit Interview, all 5 letter generators, plus unlimited resumes + version history on /resume-builder.
Do I need to sign in to use the tools?+
No — anonymous use works on every tool with a free-tier preview. Sign in (Google) to save to cloud, get version history, and unlock the real-AI output if you're on Pro.
What's the difference between free and Pro?+
Free: 1 resume, 3 versions, stub AI previews. Pro (₹299/yr or ₹49/mo): unlimited resumes, unlimited versions, real Claude AI on every tool, priority support.
Resume Builder
How do I tailor my resume to a specific job?+
1) Build or paste your resume in /resume-builder. 2) Click the blue '🎯 Tailor this resume to a specific job' card at the top. 3) Paste the full JD. 4) Click Analyze. 5) Review the ATS score before/after + the change cards. 6) Click 'Apply changes' to merge the rewrites into your resume.
Can I keep multiple versions of my resume?+
Yes — tap the '☁ Cloud' button to save a snapshot. Long-press it (or click 'History' on web) to see your version timeline. Free: 3 most recent versions. Pro: unlimited.
Does the PDF have a watermark?+
No watermark on Pro. Free tier prints clean too — only the in-app stub responses show the 'preview' banner.
Will my resume work in ATS systems?+
Yes — we generate semantic HTML, no images or columns. The Tailor-to-JD tool also gives you a live ATS keyword match score so you can confirm.
Cover Letter Builder
How do I use it?+
Open /resume-builder first and fill in your details (auto-saves to this device). Then open /tools/cover-letter — your resume is pulled in automatically. Paste the JD + role + company. Click 'Write my cover letter'. Copy the output and send.
Can I edit the AI's output?+
Yes — the result is plain text. Copy it into your email or word processor and edit. The Tailor button rewrites the whole letter; small tweaks are easier done by hand.
Interview Prep
What does 'STAR outline' mean in the result?+
STAR = Situation, Task, Action, Result. It's the answer structure interviewers expect for behavioural questions. We give you a 1-line skeleton for each so you can flesh out your real story.
Are the questions different per JD?+
Yes — the AI generates them specifically for the JD + your resume context (level, stack, etc). 5 technical, 3 behavioural, 2 resume deep-dive.
Salary Negotiation Coach
What should I paste in 'the offer'?+
The actual offer letter text, or a detailed summary: base, variable, joining bonus, ESOPs/RSUs, location. The more detail, the better the AI's counter-offer reasoning.
How accurate is the 'recommended counter'?+
It's anchored to the market data you provide. If you don't share any, the AI gives a conservative 5-15% bump range and recommends verifying via AmbitionBox / Glassdoor / LinkedIn. Never share a number you can't defend.
Should I use the script verbatim?+
Adapt the tone to your relationship with the recruiter. The structure (anchor → reasoning → ask) is the part to keep. Read it out loud first — does it sound like you?
SOP Builder
Will Indian universities accept SOPs generated by AI?+
AI-generated text is allowed; AI-FABRICATED facts are not. Our tool uses YOUR background, achievements, and the program details — it doesn't invent. Always review and personalise before submitting.
Do I need separate SOPs for each university?+
Yes. The 'why this program' paragraph must mention specific professors / labs / courses at that university. Run the tool once per university.

Are the POSH policy + handbook ready to use as-is?+
Use them as a strong starting draft. Both flag '[Insert ICC Presiding Officer name]' style placeholders for you to fill. Legal review is recommended before issuance — especially for POSH, which is strict-liability.
Can I get a legal-reviewed POSH or handbook?+
Yes — StafFixHR's HR + legal team will review and customise both for ₹15,000-25,000 per policy. Click the 'Request review' link on either tool page or email hr@staffixhr.com.
How does the Performance Review Writer handle confidentiality?+
Everything you paste stays in your browser session and gets sent to our backend (encrypted in transit) only to generate the AI response. We don't store the input or output unless you save it.

What happens after I take the HR Compliance Quiz?+
We email you a detailed risk report within 24 hours — per-question breakdown, prioritised fixes, links to relevant statutes. The first 5 SMBs each week also get a free 30-min compliance consult with StafFixHR.
Does the Statutory Calendar cover my state's PT rules?+
We cover the major states (Maharashtra, Karnataka, WB, TN, AP). State-specific dates may vary — always cross-check with your CA. Subscribe to the monthly reminder email for upcoming filings.
Billing & support
How do I get a GST-compliant invoice?+
After payment, go to /me/subscription. Click 'Download' on your invoice. For GST with your GSTIN, email hr@staffixhr.com — we'll issue a manual GST invoice within 2 working days.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. /me/subscription → 'Cancel subscription'. Your resumes and saved versions stay intact. AI features revert to stub previews.
What happens if my card declines on renewal?+
We retry 3 times over 5 days. If all fail, your account drops to FREE tier — no data lost. Re-subscribe anytime to restore Pro.
Refund policy?+
See /refund-policy. Generally: refunds for unused portion if you cancel within 7 days of a yearly subscription.
