Does StafFixHR handle RSU vesting and the related TDS?
Yes. We track vesting schedules per employee; on the vest date a perquisite is added to gross at the closing FMV, TDS recalculated for that month, and the payslip reflects 'RSU vesting · X units · ₹Y perquisite' as a separate line. Form 12BA is generated correctly at year end.
How is ESOP exercise handled?
Two tax events: at exercise (perquisite on FMV minus exercise price → Form 12BA), and at sale (capital gains, reported by employee directly). We capture the exercise event on payslip and stamp the date for the future capital-gains computation. Foreign parent company stock works the same way.
Joining bonus with claw-back if employee leaves in 12 months — automated?
Yes. Joining bonus configured as a one-time pay with a clawback rule (months_remaining × bonus_per_month). Auto-recovered from full-and-final if the employee resigns inside the window.
Karnataka PT for employees who joined mid-year — single annual deduction or monthly?
Monthly. Karnataka PT is ₹200/month for employees earning above ₹15,000 — accrued monthly, filed monthly (return + payment by 20th). Mid-year joiners don't get a catch-up charge.
Can payroll be split across India payroll + USD parent payroll?
Yes. Many Bangalore GCCs pay base in INR through India entity and ESOP/RSU through US parent. We track both streams on one employee record for completeness but only run statutory on the India INR component.
